Two UTEP students were among 500 scientists gathered in Palm Springs, Calif., for the 20th annual seismic conference of the Southern California Earthquake Center, which took place this week. Teira Solis, 32, presented her findings on the stress field of the Death Valley Fault Zone. Cecilia Del Pardo, 29 presented her data on prehistoric earthquakes, which includes faults surrounding the Coachella Valley.
