Spectrum of Healthcare from Mother to Baby

The Texas Perinatal Association El Paso Chapter is having its fourth annual Spectrum of Healthcare from Mother to Baby forum. The event will entail a speaker conference, an ethics panel discussion and a scientific session. The target audience for this conference is Obstetricians, Gynecologists, Family Physicians, Pediatricians, Neonatologists, Nurses, Social Workers, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Dieticians, Promotoras, Early Intervention Specialists, and other health professionals and community workers.
Discuss new advances in the healthcare field pertaining to maternal and child health issues in the US/Mexico border region
• Define optimal nutrition prior to conception and during pregnancy and discuss fetal origins of adult disease
• Explain the etiology, diagnosis, clinical presentation, and management of urodynamic problems following pregnancy, ano-rectal malformations, Hirschsprung’s disease, and Cerebral Palsy
• Describe the epidemiology, clinical presentation and management of child abuse, including legal obligations of the healthcare practitioner
• Promote trans-disciplinary, region specific and culturally sensitive care in women’s and children’s health.
