The Southern Group on Educational Affairs (SGEA) has posted its 2011-2012 list of Steering Committee Members. Included on the list is Janet Piskurich, PhD, associate professor at the
TTUHSC Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso. The SGEA is part of the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA) network, which is a community of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).  The SGEA fosters excellence along the continuum of medical education—undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, and continuing medical education—by providing a forum for discussing the concerns of the medical education profession, serving as a resource, and acting in an advisory capacity to the GEA and AAMC. Other GEA regions include the Central GEA, the Northeastern GEA, and the Western GEA.
