Fort Bliss broke ground recently on a 52,000-square-foot emergency services headquarters. The $15 million project is expected to be completed by October next year. The complex will allow consolidation of Fort Bliss’ fire, police and security under one roof, and provide command and control particularly for east Bliss, which will be main Bliss next year. This is the first emergency services headquarters of its kind to support a large installation. It could be the standard for all Army installations.
