Faculty and staff at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing in El Paso are preparing documents for accreditation of the new and autonomous TTUHSC Gail Greve Hunt School of Nursing in El Paso. The documents will be mailed to the Texas State Board of Nursing on Dec. 20, putting the institution in line for an accreditation site visit by the board in January. The board will issue their decision in March, formally accrediting the school. The first class will enter the school September 2011, designating the Gail Greve Hunt School of Nursing as the seventh school at TTUHSC and the second on the TTUHSC El Paso campus.
