Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., has appointed Jose Manuel de la Rosa, M.D., vice president of health affairs at the El Paso campus.
De la Rosa will keep the title of founding dean for the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine and the regional dean for the El Paso campus; however, as vice president of health affairs, de la Rosa will provide leadership for both the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine and the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing. He will also have authority to oversee new schools and future initiatives or developments of the campus. As vice president, he will also have principal responsibility for external affairs including hospital relations and serve as a key member of Mitchell’s leadership team.
