During the week of April 25, Del Sol Medical Center unveiled its helistop while Sierra Providence Health Network (SPHN) announced its new Med Flight Air Medical Transport Program. Del Sol’s helistop is located on the corner of Sumac and Vista Del Sol and is the largest helicopter landing deck in the region, according to Del Sol officials. SPHN’s program is one of the first private sector hospital-based, air programs in the region. It will transport patients to any hospital within the Sierra Providence Health Network as well as to other hospitals in the area, according to SPHN officials.
