Cultural Competence Seminar

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Hispanic Center of Excellence is hosting a free cultural competence seminar. University Medical Center of El Paso is a co-sponsor. The meeting objectives will be to discuss the importance of promoting diversity and cultural competence; identify strategies to overcome challenges that may arise when providing health care services to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender population; employ strategies to provide care to veterans, military and their families; list the legal, business and clinical implications associated with providing culturally competent health care services; and more. This free event is a continuing medical education event for physicians.
