Hector Flores, M.D., a fellowship-trained cardiovascular surgeon, has joined El Paso Southwestern Cardiovascular Associates.  Headed by Dr. Joseph Kidd, the group practice includes Drs. Kenneth Eisenberg, Robert Santoscoy and Ian Lyn. They are the team of cardiothoracic surgeons with which University Medical Center of El Paso contracts for its cardiovascular cases. Originally from El Paso, Flores is a Cathedral High School graduate, earned his bachelor of science degree in molecular biology from St. Mary’s University, attended medical school at UT’s Health Sciences Center where he completed his general surgery residency.  He did his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Emory University.  Most recently, he trained in minimally invasive mitral valve surgery at The Heart Center in Germany.
